What

We brush our teeth twice a day. We watch what we eat. We exercise daily. (Okay, maybe not every day.) But what do we do for our mental well-being?

Just like with physical health, your mental health requires ongoing maintenance. And Lenovo is committed to helping you take care of the whole you – especially your mind. So don’t be scared to get started. We’ve made these important benefits and resources available to you and your family because we want you to use them!

Getting started with mental health care

Whether you’re just feeling “meh” or you’re at your wits’ end, we’ve got support to see you through it.

Before you get stressed

Join a Get Zentered 15-minute session for tips to help you manage stress and keep an eye out for workshops from our Behavioral Health Counselor through the Lenovo Wellness Center.

Don’t forget! The Lenovo Wellness Center offers registered nurse (RN) health coaches who are available for one-on-one sessions to help you prepare for upcoming stressors or just to keep you “present” in the moment.

For slightly elevated levels of stress

Give yourself a timeout – in the form of some time off. Talk with your manager about using your flexible time away to recharge. Need something more immediate? A minute of mindfulness can take the edge off and help you find your balance.

When you’re feeling overwhelmed

Lay it on someone else – a mental health professional! We’ve got experts at the EAP and Talkspace who are available 24/7 to assist you. They can help you come up with a game plan, connect you with more resources for support, or simply talk things out.

To manage ongoing stress, anxiety, or chronic conditions

Chat with a trained behavioral health coach within seconds, or video visit with a licensed therapist or psychiatrist within days. Through Ginger, you can also connect with a psychiatrist who is able to write prescriptions and have the care you need delivered right to your door.

Additionally, the RN health coaches – available through the Lenovo Wellness Center – can help you create a personalized stress management plan.

If you just can’t go on

Help is on the way. Call 911 or head to the nearest ER. You’ve got nothing to be embarrassed about, and Lenovo’s paid sick time, short-term disability, and other leave of absence options are available to ensure the only thing you’ll need to focus on is getting the care you need.

FYI

It’s OK to be nervous about getting help with your mental health. For a long time, there has been various stigmas and discrimination against those who are struggling with mental health issues. And that negativity has led to unnecessary suffering for the 1 in 5 U.S. adults who live with a mental illness and the 67% of Americans who are feeling overwhelmed right now. At Lenovo, we’re committed to assisting you and your loved ones to get the care you need.

And as for what we think of those who seek out care?

We think you’re brave.

We think you’re resilient.

We think you’re doing great.
